The China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS) is a national recognition body established and authorized by the National Certification and Accreditation Administration (CNCA) in accordance with the provisions of the "Regulations on Certification and Accreditation of the People's Republic of China", responsible for the recognition of certification bodies, laboratories, inspection bodies, and other related institutions. CNAS is a formal member of the International Accreditation Forum (IAF), the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC), the Asia-Pacific Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (APLAC), and the Pacific Accreditation Cooperation (PAC). As of January 1, 2019, PAC and APLAC merged to form a new regional recognition cooperation organization, the Asia-Pacific Accreditation Cooperation (APAC).
